We don’t subscribe to one particular style, preferring to be fluid so that our work does not necessarily fit into a predictable mould. We feel that the most important ingredient to a beautiful project is the successful partnership between our clients and us. We aim to create projects that are a reflection of the client’s personality and style and our aim is to seamlessly meld it all together.

Tanya Hancock

NOMINATED ARCHITECT 6929

Tanya Hancock is more than an architect — she is a creator of considered environments that embrace the way people truly live. At her core, she is a designer of beautiful homes defined by refinement and intention.

Tanya began her architectural career in London, contributing to projects across the UK and Europe. During this time, she worked on a diverse portfolio ranging from large-scale residential apartment developments to high-end private residences and boutique commercial spaces. This experience shaped her sophisticated design language and deep appreciation for quality craftsmanship and elevated material selection.

In 2002, Tanya returned to Australia and founded T01 Architecture & Interiors, focusing on her passion for exquisitely designed, highly functional residential projects delivered with meticulous attention to detail.

Relocating to Woollahra, the practice evolved into Hancock Architects in late 2015 — a multi-disciplinary studio dedicated to contemporary design with enduring appeal. As Principal Design Architect, Tanya leads every project, and the studio has earned recognition both locally and internationally for its design excellence.

Her work is defined by a contemporary sensibility, an emphasis on natural light, and a carefully curated palette of high-end finishes and materials. From bespoke joinery and refined stone selections to layered textures and custom detailing, each element is thoughtfully considered to create spaces that feel both luxurious and deeply personal.

With a studio now located in Paddington, the Hancock team approaches every project with warmth and sophistication, collaborating closely with clients to refine and evolve their brief. The result is a thoughtfully crafted home — comfortable, timeless, and beautifully tailored to both lifestyle and aesthetic aspirations.
